Gameplay Tips

Focus on protecting your General by positioning your defensive pieces like the Elephant and Advisor around the palace. Use the Cannon effectively by setting up a jump over a piece to capture the opponent's valuable targets. Watch for double threats—especially from the Horse's L-shaped moves—and anticipate how your opponent might set up a checkmate pattern.

Game Features

Chinese Chess offers a strategic battle between two players, each controlling a set of 16 pieces arranged on a 9x10 grid. The game features unique pieces like the Elephant, Horse, Cannon, and General, each with its own movement rules that differ from Western chess. The objective is to checkmate the opponent's General by trapping it so it cannot escape capture. The board includes a fortified area called the palace where the General can move, and the Cannon captures by jumping over another piece. Players alternate turns, moving one piece at a time, with the goal of controlling key positions and launching coordinated attacks.
