Xeno Defense Protocol offers a top-down shooting experience where players build and defend a base against relentless waves of insectoid enemies. The game combines real-time combat with tower defense mechanics, requiring players to strategically place defensive structures while actively engaging enemies using WASD movement and mouse aiming. Progression is driven by RPG elements, allowing players to unlock new abilities and upgrades. The primary objective is to survive each wave, manage resources effectively, and successfully extract with your life intact. The game features multiple weapon types accessible via the mouse wheel, a reload function with R, a grenade or special ability with G, and a dash or evasive maneuver with Space.
