Tic Tac Toe Merge

GOAL:
Score victory points before your opponent by creating lines of 3 matching pieces.

BASIC RULES:
• You have 3 pieces in hand (initially all level 1)
• Tap a piece to select it, then tap an empty cell to place it
• When 3+ same-level pieces align (row, column, diagonal), they award points
• The number of points depends on the level of the figures, their number and combos

MERGING:
• In hand: Tap two same-level pieces to merge them (level 1+1=2, level 2+2=3)

Merge pieces in your hand early to build level-2 and level-3 pieces before placing them on the board—this gives you stronger options during the game. Focus on creating lines of three same-level pieces to score points, but prioritize placing higher-level pieces to capture your opponent’s weaker ones. Watch for potential merges on the board—three aligned pieces of the same level will automatically merge and score, so plan your moves to trigger chain reactions.

Tic Tac Toe Merge introduces a strategic twist to the classic game by adding power levels to pieces, ranging from 1 to 3. Players start with three level-1 pieces and can place them on a 3x3 grid to form lines of three matching pieces. When three pieces of the same level align horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, they score points based on their level and number. Higher-level pieces can capture lower-level ones, giving players an advantage. Pieces can be merged in hand: two level-1s combine into a level-2, and two level-2s form a powerful level-3. Aligning three or more same-level pieces triggers a merge, creating even stronger pieces and potentially setting off chain reactions.
