In Spiny Ninja, players guide a stealthy ninja through island-themed levels filled with enemy patrols and view cones. The objective is to avoid detection by sneaking past guards, using shadows for cover, and knocking enemies out from behind. Coins are collected along the way and can be used to purchase shields for protection during more challenging sections. Players must find safe paths to designated save points and reach the destination to complete each level. Defeated ninjas can be revived using collected coins or rewards, adding a layer of resource management.
